Quick Guide to Goal Setting

I enjoy setting goals.  I love planning and actually have to do lists of my to do lists.  But seriously, I believe that setting goals gives us a sense of direction of where we are going so that we are not blindly moving forward.

It is important that we are realistic and flexible when we are setting our goals.  Living our life is a dynamic process which constantly changes.  As we go through this process, there can be a shift in our priorities.  But don't get discouraged when goals need to be reevaluated.  If you end up on the wrong path, readjust your goals and take advantage of a learning opportunity.

Sometimes in order to remain focus and not lose sight of a bigger goal, it is very reasonable to set smaller goals which can be easier to achieve.  Accomplishing smaller goals can serve as motivation/stepping stones to the BIG goal.

The goal (no pun intended) is to stay on track, never give up and let our goals be our compass that will push us in the right direction we are planning to go and lead us to SUCCESS!!!

For 2018 its not too late to:

1. Set goals so big, you feel uncomfortable telling small minded people

2. Set goals that scare and excite you at the same time

3. Set goals that allow growth not perfection
