My TOP FIVE Traveling Pet Peeves
I am definitely not one to complain but over the years of traveling there have been a few things that seem to bug me. I picked these five pet peeves because they consistently occur on most of my travels. Maybe you have experienced some of these yourselves. So let's have some fun...
1. People who wear every article of clothing they own to go through TSA.
Seriously! did you really have to wear those work boots, the metal jewelry or the belt with that buckle. Now at least one hundred people have to stand and watch you remove at least 10 articles of clothing. My quick fix is a pair of tights, a cute top and a quick slip on slip off pair of sandals. If I want to be cute on arrival to my destination, I usually have a change of shoes in my carry on.
2. People who just decide to pick any seat despite having a seat number on their boarding pass.
So, you just decided not to look at your boarding pass!!! Ok! then they want you to act like its ok. No its not. Can I have my seat please?
3. People who stampede through the isle two seconds before the seat belt light goes off only to get two rows ahead. Unbeknownst to them, it is a process to board and deplane. Just a little patience and we will all get off. Just hold tight and wait your turn
4. Airline snacks
Can we just take a moment to talk about those annoying snacks. Really! Do you think that after I paid $500 for a plane ticket that giving me a bag with 10 chips or two cookies is going to make me happy. I'm usually the one pretending to be asleep as they come through pushing their carts. Thats why I prefer flying most foreign airlines because at least they give you real food.
5. Annoying custom agents
I know that you are trying to do your job to the best of your ability but I am sure that your little computer screen tells you that I fly alone as a female most of the time. Where were you visiting? Its on the well laid out form, I took the time to fill out while I was super bored on my plane ride. So what do you do for a living? Really! I'm not trying to apply for a visa. I'm just trying to get home. On a more serious note, It is better to be direct and honest with custom and border patrol agents to avoid any delays in your travel.
Traveling is truly an experience that allows us to grow. We should remain open minded and light hearted as we learn new rules, procedures, customs and cultures
