About 

Hi and Welcome to The Travelin Doc, 

I am an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics physician, wife, aunt, mentor and wannabe vegan with a love for travel, food, fashion and healthy living.  

I grew up in St. Croix, USVI and have been traveling for as long as remember.  I have enjoyed living in six states, one foreign country and one US territory.  I have traveled to five of the seven continents.  

Currently all my trips are as a couple with my husband. I book all our travel, accomodations, activities, transport, events, etc. Activities are booked prior to travel, on arrival or even spontaneously. I would like to share my travel, adventures, tips, inspiration and resources with you.

I am adventurous and I love volunteering, visiting new places, meeting new people, trying new recipes, learning and trying new things.

I believe in being at peace with myself, enjoying the simple things in life, having balance in my life and the time to do the things I love doing.  I have taken charge of my life.  I am doing it my way and I am living my dream!

1977 - First international trip to St. Lucia with family

1980s - Traveled to St. Thomas and Tortola with the Pathfinders

1990 - First trip to the US mainland to attend college

1991-1993 - Traveled to multiple US states (Ohio, Michigan, Vermont, Rhode Island, New York) and Canada

1998 - Cousin group trip to England & France

2001 - Group trip to China

2001 - Solo travel to the Dominican Republic to attend medical school

2004 - Married to my husband who I met in the Dominican Republic

2007 - Moved back to the US mainland for medical residency

2010 - Mission group trip to Ghana

2013 - Started traveling internationally as a couple

2015 - Quit my first real doctor job with no back up plan

2016 - Became a travel doctor (locums tenens) and worked only 24 weeks per year

2018 - Started working in the U.S. Virgin Islands

2023 - To date, we have traveled to St. Lucia, Dominica, UAE, England, France, Spain, Panama, Haiti, Trinitdad and Tobago, Argentina, Cuba, Guadeloupe, Barbados, St. Vincent, St. Kitts & Nevis, Greece, Italy and Aruba as a couple.
